About the seminar
The state of the EU steel market
On Thursday, 30 January 2020 the European Steel Association (EUROFER) is hosting a seminar ahead of the release of its first quarterly report for 2020.
The seminar will be an opportunity for EUROFER’s departing Director of Market Analysis and Economic Studies, Jeroen Vermeij to introduce the new Director, Alessandro Sciamarelli, who give a presentation about the state of the EU steel market.
Karl Tachelet, EUROFER’s International Affairs Director will also present an update on EU trade policy and steel safeguard.
What?
A EUROFER seminar on the state of the EU steel market and the wider economic context of the European steel industry, including the latest production, demand, and trade data. A second part of the seminar will give an update on the EU trade policy on steel.
When & where?
The seminar will take place on Thursday, 30 January 2020 from 10:30 at the Press Club, Rue Froissart 95, 1000 Brussels. The seminar will last around one hour. Dial-in and web meeting facilities may be made available on request.
Who is invited?
The seminar is principally aimed at members of the press, but other participants are welcome.

The webinar will take place online via Zoom. The link will be sent to registered participants in the days before the event takes place.
